Sea to Sea is a conversation about immigration and memory. The site is the Montauk Moorlands, a landscape rich in biodiversity and glacial legacies. My grandmother came from a small island across the Atlantic, Skopelos (known as the ‘green’ island). She brought with her only a few precious ancestral linens. In this series, I stand at the edge of the eastern shore using these linens (with the wind, sand, and sea) as a portal to connect back to her and the heritage she carried across the Atlantic.
