Between grief and hope ‘charmolypi’ (2020)

Throughout 2020, I often felt lodged between a state of grief together with a feeling of hope. There is a Greek untranslatable word for this, ‘charmolypi’ which means sorrow and joy at the same time. This photograph is a reflection on these times of grief, outrage, pain together and side-by-side with a feeling of hope.

(note: this also features the ‘Queen of Moss and Quarantine Crochet’, my daughter who came home during the pandemic).
