Sight (series)
archival pigment prints

Sight is a photographic investigation of perception and memory, inspired by an optic nerve scan of my eyes—used to detect glaucoma and other causes of blindness. Seeing my own optic nerve, this mysterious messenger of present and future vision, is both wondrous and otherworldly. I use the binocular image as a scaffolding membrane to collect and layer content that embodies familiar and newly discovered landscapes. This series reflects on shifting visions—both the purely biological and those evoking a sense of place that is ever-changing.
