Experiments in Optics
Experiments in Optics explores the behavior of light, building on a series of optical workshops I developed with a theater and arts program for adults with diverse abilities. We began by experimenting with prisms, magnifiers, and reflective mylar, shaping and morphing the reflectivity of our bodies and the imagery of the natural environment. I photographed throughout this process, which evolved into a vibrant optical romp driven by light, curiosity, movement, and invention. These photographic compositions attempt to relay this experience by condensing the cinematic flow of these experiments into single photographs.
